I had been living with Dystonia for a number of years before I was officially diagnosed in 2012. Dystonia is an incurable, neurological movement disorder that causes uncontrollable and usually incredibly painful muscle spasms caused by incorrect signals from the brain. In some cases it can affect the whole body or just one limb. Wit...
Le Chameau Ladies Vierzonord Wellingtons Boots £184.95
Who were these wellies for and what were they used for? These are for me for walking/being out and about in the countryside.
Initial thoughts on the product – A Classic pair of wellies, understated and subtle which I really like. They feel sturdy and strong. I Had heard very good things about Le Chameau’s and was extremely excited to get my own pair.
Likes – I really like how warm they keep my feet. In the past I have always had cold feet when wearing wellies, so to find a pair to beat this problem, is such a bonus!
Dislikes – It took a bit of persistence to wear these wellies in, I experienced a bit of a pain in my heels. I found the best...
Everyone loves fireworks, but this is not always the case for our beloved pets; with the festivities and celebrations upon us extra precautions may need to be taken to ensure they remain safe.
Below are some of Country & Stable’s top tips on how best to prepare and plan ahead for the firework season to help protect your horses, dogs, cats and other four-legged friends.
Top 3 tips for your horse
1. Keep your horse in their familiar environment as this will help make them feel more comfortable and secure. Keeping to a normal routine as much as possible and having any usual companions will also be a comfort. If stabled, check thoroughly for anything that could cause potential injury such as protruding nails/...
Ask any horse owner out there and they’ll tell you that keeping your horse a comfortable temperature and protected from the elements is incredibly important. One of the best ways of doing this is by buying a quality horse rug for your equine companion.
Believe it or not, there are actually quite a lot of considerations to take into account when it comes to investing in a new rug for your horse. If you have only recently started looking after horses, it can even become a little bit overwhelming. That’s why we’ve decided to put together our horse rug buying guide; to help you find the perfect rug for your horse, stress free.
What is the difference between a turnout rug and a stable rug?
WeatherBeeta Therapy-Tec Combo Neck Rug £99.99
Who was this rug used on? I used this on Lyric as he is an older horse and needs help with keeping supple – he is 21 so gets a little stiff when he is in at night.
Initial thoughts on the product - Looks and feels soft and comfortable. Lyric liked it; it makes him go to sleep in his stable. Resuable bag makes storage very easy to handle.
Likes - Easy to use, well packaged and comes in a bag that you can use again and is good for storage.
Dislikes - Need to put another rug on the top – we have shavings beds and these do stick to it, if left on in the stable.
Would you recommend the product? It did help Lyric out, we used it before turnout in the morni...

When we begin to switch our central heating systems on and pull out our winter jumpers, many of us horse owners begin to worry about our equine friends outside.
